teachings of indigenous people.
Unity Foundation's programs, developed
in consultation with elders, youth, psychologists, youth workers and
educators, spread across a broad spectrum of activities from the
arts through youth services to tribal and racial identity and
eventually to a program which will aims to see communities take
control of their own destiny.
Unity Foundation utilises
a Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) approach with young people who
struggle to use effective coping strategies.
Through Unity's Life Skills,
Homelessness, Leadership and Social & Emotional Well-being Programs
youth are empowered with a
portable skill set that enables them to improve the quality of their
life and sustain these changes into adulthood.

Through a MOU with the Unity
Foundation, RMIT University assists the Centre for Evidence
Based Mental Health with leadership, strategic planning and research
in the Indigenous community. RMIT is
committed to supporting the development of the Centre's
capacity to support indigenous and non-indigenous people through
research, programs, education, leadership and capacity development.

The online
Mental Health Bookstore (health professionals) has a
comprehensive range of clinical texts, mental health books,
treatment manuals, instructional CD-ROMs and videos, and software
products for the clinician. Titles and resources are chosen by
clinicians for clinicians. Care has been taken to represent as many
disorders, issues, treatments and theoretical perspectives as
possible.
